Please allow me a few minutes of your time to tell you about myself.
My name is Paul Stone LRPS, ASINWP & ASITTP. I live in a village called Lovedean in the south east corner Hampshire, UK. The village is situated 12 miles north of Portsmouth, a city located in the centre of the south coast of England.
In the early 1500’s the area now known as Lovedean was a small part of the parishes of Catherington & Blendworth in south east Hampshire. In 1511 George Earl of Shrewsbury who had owned the parishes had a manor house at Chalton situated in the same parishes. On the death of George’s brother & heir Thomas, the tenements were divided between Thomas’ four sisters, three of which sold their inheritance to a Richard Norton. Richard died
in 1584 and his son Anthony became heir to certain lands & tenements in Catherington. In 1594 Anthony granted three quarters of the manor of Catherington to his sister Isabel Norton. Isabel married Thomas Lovedean of East Meon & as a result the manor of Catherington became the manor of Lovedean.
A self taught amateur photographer with a passion for landscape photography & mainly shoot landscapes within the southern halves of Dorset, Hampshire, East & West Sussex & the Isle of Wight. A large proportion of my landscapes include water, as being born on the Isle of Wight surrounded by water & having a birth sign of Pisces I really love the sea, lakes, ponds & rivers.
I also shoot Architecture images using various blending methods to produce them.
Other related photography matters are:
